FLA 121/122 Spanish 1 1-2

                     Credits:                .5 per semester (Personal Pathway Elective Credit)

This course places emphasis on communicating in Spanish, imitating how you learned your first language through games, play, interaction and participation. Students will be expected to engage in an all-Spanish environment. Students interact with a variety of authentic materials that appeal to all different types of learners, as well as educate the whole student. In order to be successful, students will need to reach a minimum proficiency level of novice mid. This course will meet the world language, college admission requirement.  This is a high school credit bearing class that will automatically have the credit and corresponding grade placed on the student's high school transcript.  Students have until the end of their 11th grade year to remove the credit bearing course from their transcript. That request must be made through the student's high school counselor.

College Equivalency:  SPAN 122 at EvCC

This course will build on the communication skills introduced in first year Spanish. Students will be expected to engage in an all-Spanish environment. Students interact with a variety of authentic materials that appeal to all different types of learners, as well as educate the whole student. In order to be successful, students will need to reach a minimum proficiency level of novice high. Five college credits will be available for students who concurrently register with EvCC. This course will meet the world language, college admission requirement.  Five college credits will be available for students who concurrently register with EvCC.
