Our libraries are student-centered, warm, welcoming spaces with open access where students and adults collaborate to enhance their learning. Students develop a love of literacy and are empowered to utilize library resources. Students engage in innovative enrichment connected to their learning.
Depending on school-based priorities, librarians may facilitate some of the following:
Innovative Enrichment lessons connected to classroom instruction (see ideas on chart below)
Open Checkout
Award book activities (Children's Choice, Sasquatch, etc.)
WIN participation with a target grade level (book club, passion projects, knowledge party, etc.)
One School/One Book activities
Provide alternate recess activities
Clubs and activities that take place during the school day
Support Tier Two behavior interventions (i.e. Check In Check Out)
