The resource below is intended for teachers and support staff as you make decisions about intervening with readers. It's organized in a developmental sequence and provides guidance and resources for intervening in the areas of Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, and Comprehension, including how to determine where to start with a student and ideas for progress monitoring. This document will continue to be updated as additional intervention strategies and resources that have proven to be successful are identified. Please use it as a reference as you work with your PLC to support students each day.

CKLA Pacing Guide Guidance 2024-2025
Please use the pacing guide below to align our work across the district as we implement CKLA for the second year.
NOTE: Our goal is to provide a pacing guide that has high expectations for implementation of CKLA. We want to make sure students across the district experience common, high quality Tier One instruction in all of our K-5 classrooms. It's important to stay with the pacing guide over the year and it's also important for grade level teams to stay consistent in their movement through the pacing guide so that collaboration can be meaningful and supportive for all. It's a good thing.
The pacing guide format has been updated this year. Please take a few minutes to read the guidance provided at the top of the pacing guides and partner with your PLCs when making pacing decisions.
