Visual Arts

Conservatory of Fine Arts available through these courses. Visual Arts students interested in participating in the Conservatory of Fine Arts, will choose from two year-long tracks.

-The Pre-AP 2D Design track will have students enrolled in Drawing Fall semester, and Painting their Spring semester.

-The Ceramics & 3D Design track will have students enrolled in 3D Design Fall semester and Advanced 3D in Spring.

DRAWING – 1 semester

In this course, students of all artistic abilities will develop and grow their drawing skills

through the exploration of various drawing media. Learn how to use artist quality pencils, colored pencils, scratchboard, and more as you create works of art you never thought possible! A voluntary donation of $20 is appreciated.

PAINTING – 1 semester

Dive into the world of color as you explore various types painting media. Create works of art with acrylic paint, watercolor, and printmaking ink as you use color to bring meaning to your work! A voluntary donation of $20 is appreciated.

CERAMICS and 3-D DESIGN – 1 semester

Students will learn the basics of creating ceramic, paper-mache, and computer generated artwork in this hands-on course. Design and build mugs, vases, and three-dimensional sculptures that are only limited by your own imagination. Even learn how to create 3D models that can then be 3D printed! A voluntary donation of $20 is appreciated.

ADVANCED CERAMICS and 3-D DESIGN – 1 semester

Take your ceramic talents to the next level in this advanced course! Further challenge your skills and artistic voice in this class where the projects are bigger and more in-depth.

Prerequisite: 3-D Design and teacher approval. A voluntary donation of $20 is appreciated.
