What is a "tech coach"?
An educational technology coach is a specialist in educational technology. Our tech coaches work throughout our district to support teachers in their integration of technology for classroom instruction. Tech coaches can also support students and their families in the effective use of technology for learning.Â
How can a tech coach help your family?
The educational technology coaches are available to help students and parents learn how to use district-approved educational technology programs. Please review our Programs page for a list of our most commonly used programs, including student learning management systems, along with videos and how-to information to assist you in navigating these programs.
For families who are new to the district, a tech coach can provide an orientation to help you get started with programs such as Genesis, Schoology, and Google Classroom.
If you have a specific question, you can email a tech coach for more information, or to arrange an appointment for assistance. If you have children attending multiple schools, choose any of the tech coaches for an appointment. When contacting a tech coach, please provide as much information about your inquiry as possible to allow our coaches to provide the best support possible.
When should you request help from a technician instead of a tech coach?
If you are having trouble with the functionality of your district-issued device or district accounts, please reach out to a technician through Incident IQ, our online helpdesk application.
