Select your standards
Select an authentic use/real world example of the standard/s
Frame a scenario for a challenge based on the real world example. Finding a community partner for the challenge raises the authenticity.
Example: Our class has been selected to rework the "prison yard" so it has more appeal for 5th and 6th graders and provides a better play/activity space.
Example: Our class has been asked to give input to a famous clothing designer. The designer wants to branch out into the 15-19 age market. They need help to know how teenagers shop. How can you convince the designer to choose your plan?
