Mobility in Spain

We have reached the final mobility of the Erasmus+ KA220 project "Becoming European Citizens Through a Web Radio," which took place from 4th to 9th  April 2024 in Ubeda, a delightful Andalusian town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, the Colegio Santo Domingo Savio - Salesianos enthusiastically welcomed delegations of students and teachers from partner schools: Liceo Manzoni of Caserta (Italy), the multilingual SZLI Budapest Pasaréti Szabó Lőrinc (Hungary), and St JeannAntide College, Immaculate Conception School (Malta).

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the families of the host students, with whom they had already created bonds during the previous mobility in Italy. The days spent in Ubeda were full of activities and emotions: the first morning was dedicated to recording a podcast in which all students expressed their opinions on the experience and on cultural differences between the partner countries of the Erasmus project.

In the afternoon students and teachers visited the school: the well-equipped sports facilities, the church, and the theatre where Spanish students performed an engaging flamenco.

In the following days, the students explored the magnificent Sierra de Cazorla Natural Park and visited the splendid palaces and gardens of the Alhambra in Granada.

There was also a thrilling treasure hunt aimed at discovering the details of the Renaissance palaces and churches in the historic center of Ubeda.

The farewell evening was an unforgettable moment with a dinner organized by the host families, during which students, families, and teachers shared joy and gratitude. Thanks to the Erasmus project, students and teachers from four different countries had the opportunity to grow culturally, discover and appreciate the richness of diversity, thus contributing to the creation of a more united and inclusive Europe.
