"Here we are at the second mobility of the Erasmus+ KA220 project 'Become European Citizen Through a Web Radio', which took place from November 26th to December 2nd 2023 in the beautiful and suggestive city of Budapest.
The multilingual high school SZLI Budapest Pasaréti Szabó Lőrinc (Hungary) received delegations of students and teachers from partner schools: Liceo Manzoni in Caserta (Italy), Colegio Domingo Savio in Ubeda (Spain), and St Jeanne Antide College, Immaculate Conception School (Malta).
Upon their arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by their Hungarian counterparts, already met during the previous mobility, and by their host families who would accommodate them for the entire week.
Throughout the week, interesting lessons in English, Computer Science, History, and Hungarian language were alternated with the SZLI teachers in the morning, while in the afternoon, Hungarian students guided the visiting students to the most representative and suggestive places in Budapest: the Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica with its Christmas markets, Buda Castle, and Matthias Church.
The last morning was dedicated to recording a podcast in which all students shared their opinions on the differences observed between the various countries on crucial topics such as education and transport.
Two pleasant evenings were organized: an 'international tasting' to discover Spanish, Maltese, Italian, and Hungarian traditional sweets and foods, and the 'farewell dinner' which brought together all the students for the last time.
Despite the intense cold and snowfall during one morning, the students experienced an extraordinary week, immersing themselves in daily life as young Hungarians.
This experience significantly contributed to build greater knowledge and mutual respect.
It's just a very small, but important, piece for the creation of a more united Europe."
