About the project
Becoming European Citizen through an Erasmus web radio (BEC web-radio) is a K220 Eramus+ funded project led by Liceo Manzoni (Caserta, Italy) in collaboration with Colegio Santo Domingo Savio (Ubeda, Spain), St Jeanne Antide College, Immaculate Conception School (Tarxien, Malta) and Pasaréti Szabó Lörinc Magyar- Angol Két Tanítási Nyelvü Általános Iskola és Gimnázium (Budapest, Hungary)
The project aims to create a collaborative web-radio, managed by students and teachers from the four previously mentioned European countries. In this way, students and teachers can understand that, although they come from different cultures, they have common values that allow them to define themselves as European Citizens.
The web-radio will be broadcasting programs about school students’ daily life. The mobilities will be organizing a live program to widen the teachers' and students' communities who are actively involved in the project. The web-radio will be used to organize educational activities close to students' everyday reality.
The aim of the project is that of creating and involving 75% of the student population in web radio activities, live podcasts, and the institutionalization of web-radio in participant schools. Teachers involved in the project will publish a guide to help other schools to manage a collaborative web-radio. This guide will be presented during a final dissemination event.
