This is a selective fellowship for a limited number of staff members who aspire to become a principal. Applicants must currently serve in a Los Fresnos CISD campus administrator role for at least one year and obtain the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System Certification (T-PESS) by May 2025.
Accepted applicants will have an opportunity to participate in a structured program to improve their professional skills. Candidates will participate in on-the-job training with principals, campus shadow visits, and small-group learning sessions. Candidates will gain valuable insight that includes hands-on experience that is aligned with the Los Fresnos CISD Profile of a Leader.
This fellowship will equip candidates with the skills and experiences necessary to excel in their principal candidacy, providing them with in-depth training and practical insights that are crucial for effective school leadership.
The fellowship shall follow a schedule to run concurrent with the 2025-2026 school year.
