Introduction To Initial Ideas
This is my initial ideas page, this is all my work that leads up to deciding and picking an idea of what my FMP will be. Having initial idea documents is a good way to write down and see all my thoughts about the theme and what different types of ideas I can come up with and being able to look at the documents and think which of my initial project ideas interest me the most, which of them will be achievable and which I will do.
First Thoughts On The Theme:
My first thoughts of the theme are that it’s very broad, mirrors can be used as a theme in many ways, such as literal mirror being used as part of the mise en scene, mirror worlds such as in coraline and alice in wonderland, self reflection and so on. There are many routes I could take whilst basing my project on the theme of mirrors. For the moment, I would like to research different ways mirrors can be used and then from there come up with ideas. I will make a spider diagram displaying many uses of mirrors that I can use.
I did a spider diagram listing all the different interpretations of "Mirrors" there are. I did this because it will help me try to figure out what interpretation I want to use, which also might give me some inspiration for my 3 ideas. It also helps me as although I already know that the theme of mirrors is very broad, this helps me visualise how broad it actually is.
I made a SWOT table for each of my ideas, listing out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. I did this because having a SWOT analysis for each of the ideas helps me visualise and determine which of my ideas are accomplishable and are in lack of other words, better.
Having a Pecha Kucha presentation helps me build my pitching skills whilst also helping me determine if my idea is convincing enough to be pitched to my peers and teachers.
