Welcome to the official website of the Lexington High School Student-Faculty Senate!
As the primary student legislative body of the school, we serve multiple roles, with a specific focus on advancing the needs of students on a legislative scale, and meeting with the staff to understand the climate and inner-workings of the school.
But being a legislative body comprised primarily of students elected for students by students, we largely serve an integral role in weaving ideas and solutions into proper legislation, directed at enriching the lives of students.
Other actions spearheaded by the Senate include do-good projects, such as door and wall-paintings, mental health breaks, and general improvements of academic environments in order to make them less stressful for our students.
If you would like to get to know more about the Senate, or chip in some ideas, feel free to join us at the Library Media Center on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:00 PM.
If you would like to know more about what we do, feel free to look at the Records page, which details recorded agendas and minutes of Senate meetings.
If you want to become a member of Senate, feel free to either nominate yourself for an election (every spring for incoming sophomores and above; every fall for incoming freshman) or appeal before the Senate at the start of each school year in order to gain a seat upon our student body.
