WRITING:
Write a character sketch using Lesson 4 as a guide. Remember to look at the example given in the lesson to help you limit your sketch to one or two closely related characteristics.
You should have the following:
**An introduction paragraph, one body paragraph (or more), and a conclusion paragraph. An introduction should be brief and catchy (mention a setting that describes how you first met the person OR use a quote OR ask a question). The body of the sketch should explain or describe an incident or example that highlights the very characteristic upon which you are focusing. The conclusion of the sketch could mention how this person has had an effect on your life, OR if you have role modeled after the person you are describing. Conclude your paper by repeating an idea or point from your introduction, but use synonyms (not the exact wording). This is called "Clinching"the end of your paper.
**Write a rough draft and proofread carefully for content and other errors (capitalization, punctuation, verb/subject agreement).
**Write a final draft from your corrections - double space your work
**Staple rough and final drafts and be prepared to hand in that work on Tuesday, 10/1.
