Agenda:
- Seal of Bilingual PowerPoint.
- Return and Discuss Question 2
- Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close Groupwork
- Environmental: How does the environment a character inhabits provide information about that character?
- Engineering: Pick one character and discuss how Jonathan Safran Foer uses the structure (think punctuation or pictures, spaces, etc) of that person’s narrative to develop the character.
- Entertainment: How do the changes in the print (pictures, circled phrasing, etc.) develop the character OR their relationships (pick one to focus on)?
- Entrepreneurial: How does Oskar use manipulation tactics throughout the novel to achieve his goals? What does this reveal about Oskar’s character?
- Exercise Science: Examine the contrast between Oskar’s, Mr. Black’s, and the grandfather’s responses to life’s struggles. Pick one character and discuss how this character is developed through this contrast.
- First, find quotes that answer the magnet question. You don’t have to explain the connection between the quote and the answer to the question. You also don’t need to write down your answer to the question. You SHOULD talk as a group about your answer and the connections between quote and answer, but don’t write down anything other than the quotes (cited correctly with last name and page number).
