We began the trimester with a rocky start because I missed the second week of school with covid. We attempted to begin a new routine with the ArtBook. The ArtBook keeps all of our enrichment skills and classroom activities together virtually. I added a few skill based "exercises" for learning shading techniques, which help artists to learn how to draw better. The ArtBook counts as practice and part of the 10% grade. I revamped the full trimester copy of the ArtBook down to one for each unit and eliminated some of repeat information about the Art Standards I explain during class- this gave us way less pages! Ask your students to see their ArtBook!
Unit 1: The Art Elements always results in some fun artworks!
Students practiced value scale and sphere shading as an art skill to help learn how to draw more realistically. Shading, or the use of value, makes objects look three-dimensional.
