LevitasBio portfolio of solutions is ideally suited to Immunology research by providing an unbiased and stress-free ability to enrich for specific immune populations.
The hematopoeitic blood lineages are well characterized, with multiple surface markers known to identify each cell type. By using LeviSelect products, we can enrich viable target cells in an untouched manner, allowing cells to remain in its most native state while multiplexing multiple markers at the same time with the same fast and simple workflow.
Immune cells are critical to survival. The development and education of these cell types are critical to understanding regulation and response. Levitation Technology can provide a means to depletion or enrich these populations from tissue or blood in a fast, simple, and reliable workflow.

Background Information
Immunology is the study of the immune system which is a complex system of cells, structures and processes that protect the body from disease or infection. Abnormalities in immune function can result in immune deficiency, auto-immune diseases, allergy and cancer. Immune response can also contribute to common disorders not immune related like metabolic, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative conditions.
Important immune organs are the thymus, bone marrow, spleen, lymphatic system including spleen, lymph vessels, lymph nodes and liver. Blood is the most readily usable sample for research which includes the majority of differentiated hematopoietic cell types that interact with these tissues. Progenitor cell types are largely found in the bone marrow.
