Philosophy
I crafted, explored, and constructed my Educational Technology Philosophy. After several peer reviews and refining, I think that my educational technology philosophy is clear. Through deep reflection on the best practices and pedagogy, such as Bloom's Taxonomy that I use in my classroom, and also taking into consideration the new technology integration of the TPACK framework and SAMR model that I've learned, I came up with what I believed to be most important for my students. I believe that through experiences we learn something new every day. Students learn best when provided with the opportunity to have new meaningful learning experiences. By providing the opportunity for student-centered learning, inquiry, and discovery through the use of technology, we nurture lifelong and reflective learners.
Below you will find the progression of my educational technology philosophy.
Here you will find the first draft of my educational technology philosophy statement, I struggled a bit with the concept at first, but it improved after I used peer feedback to refine my statement.
In the second draft of my educational technology philosophy statement. I made several changes to my first draft after receiving peer feedback in Round 1. There were several suggestions, that helped me build my statement for round two of peer reviews.
My final Educational Philosophy Statement, reflects my beliefs, not only as an educator but as a person also. Having the ability to refine my thoughts and ideas to show my insight was important to me. My students and love of learning keep me focused and centered on their learning outcomes. Technology is an important aspect of today's learning.
