Half term flashed by and we have quickly immersed ourselves back into our busy curriculum. The children have assumed responsibility for our Poppy Appeal collection and ably comported themselves as tour guides for prospective parents this week. Our English lessons this half term will be based on the adventure story 'Darwin's Dragons' by Lindsay Galvin: chosen to dove-tail with our Science topic Evolution and Inheritance. Fossil-making has already taken place and we are looking forward to delving further into this fascinating subject over the next few weeks. In Maths, we are continuing to tackle fractions and appreciate any parental support for cementing times table knowledge. This half term we move from History to Geography and from Art to DT. This offers the opportunity for fieldwork and cooking, hurrah! PE will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from now on. Our focus in PSHE is on celebrating difference and in RE we return to Christianity. We hope everyone is well rested for the coming weeks and our inevitable countdown to Christmas...
With best wishes,
Ms MacFarlane, Ms Clemson and Mrs Povey
