YEAR 1
YEAR 1
This week's learning.....
In English we have travelled on 'The 100 Decker Bus' by Mike Smith and have enjoyed sharing the passenger's adventures. We have recounted the story focusing on time adverbials. In Maths we have been telling the time to the hour and half hour, and completed word problems relating to the duration of time. In Science we explored the RSPB website to identify similarities and differences in birds. In PSHE we enjoyed cooing over our baby photos and noticing how much we have changed since then! In D & T we identified what makes a fruit a fruit, and where they grow. In R.E, we sampled a traditional Jewish food eaten to celebrate Rosh Hashanah - apples dipped in honey, hoping for a sweet new year ahead in Year 2 . The children gave their best when completing their phonics screening checks , results will be given with reports.
