Year 3 had a lovely week of art, exploring different media to create pictures of landscapes, still life and volcanoes. They also used technology to paint with music and dance. They really enjoyed being creative.
In Maths we have been learning to interpret and record data in bar graphs, picture graphs and tally charts. We have used counters to help us understand the data.
In English we continue with the story of The Iron Man. We have explored the features of a poem and we have read it aloud to the class, modifying our voice and expression as we read along. This has really helped us to create our own poems of The Iron Man.
On Thursday we went to the Science Museum. We explored the space gallery before our workshop in the Wonderlab area followed by another workshop about fire and explosions. There were so many activities to choose from that we thought we needed at least another hour to take part in all the fun.
On Friday, we continued our Science theme in the evening . We watched a Science documentary and we took part in 4 experiments before heading out with our torches to explore the school grounds in the dark. We watched a film together eating popcorn and we got ready for bed. We woke up early in the morning and we had breakfast together. We really enjoyed our sleepover at school. It was so much fun!
This week we had our last Year 3 music performance to show what we had learned this term. We really enjoyed learning music with Mr Donal and we will really miss our lessons with him. Thank you for teaching us this year.
