We have been learning......

English - Year 5: We have planned and written instructions for flying a plane, written a persuasive letter to ask for help, both based on our text - The Explorer. We have also completed reading and spelling age assessments

Maths - Year 5: We have completed review lessons and revisited some of the key concepts taught during the year.

Spanish - We reviewed all of our learning from this half term and began to how to introduce the members of our family.

PSHE - Year 5 and 6 have continued the Changing Me unit of our PSHE lessons. We have thought about what it is like to be a teenager and how we view ourselves. If you would like more information regarding PSHE this half term, please remember to refer to the information that was sent out at the end of last half term.

Art: We have completed some African art and joined in with some of the Leo arts week activities across the curriculum. The children also experimented with an electronic soundboard and used layers of looped tracks to create their own music, which they all thoroughly enjoyed - lots of budding DJs amongst our pupils.

RE: We continued to learn about the Pillars of Islam.

Outdoor PE focus 1 for this half-term - Cricket

Outdoor PE focus 2 for the term - Athletics / Tennis

We all enjoyed being part of the production and are very proud of year 6 for their talent and collaboration

For home learning this week, you could have a go at the writing your own play script activity.
