YEAR 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another busy and exciting week in Year 2.

Writing:

This week in Writing, we soared into the world of owls! We researched fascinating facts about these nocturnal birds and used our new knowledge to produce some fantastic non-chronological reports.

Maths:

We kicked off 2025 by exploring temperature! We also delved into the world of pictograms, learning how to interpret and create these visual representations of data.

Geography:

We took a virtual tour of the UK in Geography, using Google Earth to explore the diverse geographical features of our country. From towering mountains to winding rivers, we discovered the beauty and variety of the British Isles.

Science:

In Science, we investigated different materials and learned how to sort them based on their properties. We explored textures, flexibility, and other characteristics to help us categorise a range of everyday objects.
