Can we take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy new year! As always the children have been nonstop and very busy since our return to school. We have had a change to our art curriculum this year and are now exploring a topic that we have never done before! It's all about watercolours and the children have been amazing embracing new skills and techniques during the first couple of lessons. We have all been feeling proud of the results!

In maths, we have moved on to our next chapter which is all about adding and subtracting within 20. The children have learned to use a number line, and tens frames to solve their number equations. In science our topic is 'everyday materials' and our first task was to name and sort a variety of materials. We also have a new topic for Geography this year which is all about 'where we live'. The first lesson had us exploring what makes a city a city - and our friend Paddington was back to help make the learning fun!
