Horn

A clean instrument is a happy instrument!

These videos show a thorough way to clean your instrument. He also shows how to polish the instrument. This is great but not necessary.

IMPORTANT:

1) It can be difficult to get water out of the rotor valves. If you don't want to deal with that, then don't dip the entire horn in the bath. Run water and a snake through the lead pipe (where you put your mouthpiece in). That tends to be the dirtiest part.

2) Use lukewarm water. Do not use hot or cold water.

3) Set a towel in the bottom of the bath to give the instruments parts something soft to sit on.

Warm up!

To get the most out of your practicing, you have to do a good warm up. You are using muscles just like an athlete, and these warm ups help you stretch the muscles in your face and get your air moving.  These are designed specifically for your instrument and are a great way to start your practice session!
