Hello! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Lehigh University. I work with the wonderful CALiCo team to study children's and adolescents socio-emotional adjustment and competence. When I am not working, I cook, spend time with my family, read science fiction, and make stained glass.

My name is Chelsea and I am a Psychology Graduate Student. I am currently working with my advisor Dr. Danming An on research involving factors that impact the socioemotional development and well-being of children and adolescents. I am also interested in looking at identity development of children and adolescents and how both personal factors, such as mental health, and contextual factors such as parent and peer relationships, influence it. My goals are to complete my PhD program in Psychology, and to pursue a career in teaching and research at the university level. 

I am a Ph.D. student in Developmental Psychology, supervised by Dr. Danming An. My current research involves the CHEESE Study and the Tough Talks Project at Lehigh University. My research interests include socio-emotional development with a focus on social withdrawal, social connection, and social media use. Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and going on runs.

My name is Allyson, and I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Lehigh University. I’m particularly interested in how children’s early experiences and social environments shape their social and emotional development. Having grown up across different cultural contexts, I’m especially interested in how culture and social experiences influence children’s development. This interest is what drew me to developmental research and to the CALiCo Lab. Outside of the lab, I enjoy crocheting, reading fiction, and watching soccer.

Hi, my name is Ava Demonte! I am a Senior Psychology major with a minor in Maternal and Child Health. I am deeply interested in what affects adolescent development on both a contextual-level and an individual-level. I work as an experimenter in the CHEESE (Childhood Environment, Emotions, and Social Engagement) Study!

My name is Touella, and I am a senior at Lehigh majoring in psychology and minoring in cognitive science. I enjoy learning about children's cognition and behavior, and I work as an experimenter in the CHEESE (Childhood Environment, Emotions, and Social Engagement) study!

Hello I am Fernanda Reyes! I am a sophomore who is planning to declare a double major in Sociology and Health, Medicine, and Society. I am interested in the socioeconomic disparities within mental healthcare infrastructure as well as the impact of social identities on behavior. I work as an experimenter, coder, and recruitment head in the ChEESE (Childhood Environment, Emotions, and Social Engagement) Study.

Hi! My name is Nathan and I am a Junior in Neuroscience at Lehigh University. I am interested in studying the different ways that our biology influences our behaviors. I am a Lead Experimenter and work closely with the behavioral coding and recruitment teams in the ChEESE study.

Hi, I'm Pilar! I am a senior majoring in Psychology at Lehigh University. I am deeply interested in socioemotional development and adolescent behavior, and I hope to one day pursue a career specializing in these areas. In the lab, I work on the recruitment and behavioral coding team for the ChEESE study. Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading literature.

Hi, I'm Emma Kantor, a member of the Class of 2029 at Lehigh University studying Psychology and Health, Medicine and Society. On campus, I am involved in the tour guide program and the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. I am especially interested in developmental psychology and occupational therapy. I hope to help people improve their quality of life and make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

My name is Logan, and I’m a senior majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology. In the lab, I’m one of the behavioral coding team leaders and also help run experimental sessions. After graduating, I hope to attend medical school and eventually pursue a career as a physician, where I can continue learning while working directly with and caring for patients. A fun fact about me is that I grew up in Maine!
