June 2024 - The Mountaintop Experience program has officially started! In addition to the previously mentioned team members, Tamanna Dharamsey from Ashoka University in India, is also going to join us. Tamanna, we are glad to have you on our team!
April 2024 - The CALiCo Lab welcomes five undergraduate research assistants from the Mountaintop Experience program: Nadine Boukhari, Keith Kerschollek, Allyson Andah, Vincent Caruso, and Sophia Smith. In addition, Matt Tong, a psychology Ph.D. student who is experienced in programming cognitive tasks, is also going to work with us this summer. Let's have fun doing research together!
April 2024 - The CALiCo Lab presented our research on depression and cognition at the Society for Research on Adolescence conference! Thanks to the Parenting Across Cultures team for sharing their data with us. Here's a picture of Chelsea presenting her work.
May 2023 - Our lab website is finally launched! If you were wondering, yes, Danming's family had a calico cat, which inspired the lab name. The (temporary) cat logo is AI-generated (Stable Diffusion).
April 2023 - Chelsea presented her first year project at the departmental brown bag. The title of her presentation is "Bidirectional Relations among Depressive Symptoms, Self-Esteem, and Hopefulness during Adolescence: Longitudinal Evidence from Nine Countries." So proud of her work!
March 2023 - Our internal grant about childrearing in Kenya got funded! This grant provided by Lehigh University extends our previous funding from SRCD and allows us to conduct qualitative and quantitative research with families in Nairobi, Kenya.
January 2023 - Danming is formally on board at Lehigh. It is fun to start a lab and teach stats!
August 2022 - Welcome Chelsea Cortright, our new (and first) graduate student, to join our research group!
January 2022 - Danming accepted the Assistant Professor position at Department of Psychology, Lehigh University. Excited about the new advantures!
