ELL Language Camp

The School District of Lee County will provide our English Language Learners (ELLs) an opportunity to acquire speaking, reading, and written English Language skills. This camp is taught by a state certified educator with curriculum specific to helping with language acquisition. 


This camp is for current grades 1-5. 


This camp was invitation only by School Messenger.

Registration deadline is May 10th.

Instructional Begin/End Time:

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.


*Students should not arrive before 8:45 a.m. 

There is no adult supervision before this time and safety is our number one priority!


*Breakfast and Lunch Provided

Summer school location will be based on road dividing lines of the new 24-25 zones and FOCUS home address closest to one of the following locations: 


East Zone: Manatee, G. Weaver Hipps, Sunshine, and Lehigh Elementary 

South Zone: Orangewood, Treeline, and Spring Creek Elementary

West Zone: Pelican and Hancock Creek Elementary

How do I sign up my child for this camp? 

Eligible students were sent an invitation via school messenger. Registered students will receive additional information the last two weeks of May. 


How do I know my child's bus stop and bus times? 

Please click HERE for the transportation link (link will be active in May). The deadline to receive transportation was April 16th. There is no transportation to or from daycares, summer camps, or any other addresses. 


What time can I drop off and pick up my child if they do not take the bus? 

Students should not arrive before 8:45 a.m. There is no adult supervision before this time and safety is our number one priority!


What is the attendance policy for summer school? 

Attendance is taken daily in FOCUS. Daily attendance is extremely important in order to ensure student success. 


How do I know what school my child is attending for summer school? 

Summer school location will be based on road dividing lines of the school zones and FOCUS home address closest to one of the summer school locations. Please see map above. Registered students will receive additional information the last two weeks of May


What do I need to do before my child attends summer school? 

Fill out the forms sent home by your child's school with the registration letter.
