IMPORTANT NOTE: All trips are available this year. Field Trips Sign-Up begins on August 21, 2025 at 7:00 AM. Online forms will all accept entries beginning that date and continuously after. We will prioritize trips according to priority schools (those who were not served in the last three years) and then by registration requests.
In order to serve the most schools, you are limited to one trip per grade level.
You will receive a confirmation email once you are scheduled.

Students are immersed in learning at locations such as Six Mile Cypress Slough, Mangrove Estuaries, Conservation 20/20 Preserves, Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, or Lover's Key State Park.
Citizen Science and field research are the focus of explorations in water quality, species diversity, and adaptations.
Six Mile Cypress Slough Trip
Six Mile Cypress Slough Trip
South Florida’s unique water dynamics are investigated closely. Students discover their personal contributions to the water situation and consider impacts on the ecosystem caused by water use and invasive species. Part of this trip is an “off the boardwalk” tour of the Six Mile Cypress Slough; wading is likely depending upon rainfall amounts.

J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge
J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge
Students will learn about birds adaptations and ecology while investigating the habitats at the refuge. Learn about FWC research projects and citizen science projects!
Mangroves and Mudflats Trip
Mangroves and Mudflats Trip
Estuarine mudflat and mangrove systems are explored and compared. Students learn about transects, quadrats, and rapid bioassessment of communities.

Take a trip through the waste stream over at the Waste to Energy Facility with a ReWorld Representative. Discuss the environmental and financial challenges of the different types of solid waste management and energy creation.
Conservation 20/20 Field Trip
Conservation 20/20 Field Trip
Students explore their closest Conservation 20/20 park and make a plan to lead a trip for a nearby elementary school. This has been done in both the West Zone and South Zone!
