Ways to use Google Slides with Students
It is time to move beyond “death by PowerPoint” by creating activities where students are actively engaged in the learning process. Slides provides a free form platform that can be used in a variety of ways that go far beyond presentations. The superpowers of Slides allow you to create activities where your students can interact with the content and use a variety of tools to show you what they know. Students can even use Screencastify to record videos of their work, their thoughts and their reflections and insert the video right into the Slide they are working on. When a student is forced to interact with the content on a slide, they change from being a consumer of content to being a collaborator and creator. Here are just a few suggestions on how diverse the use of slides can be in the classroom.
