Why are we doing this?
Exploring the future can be daunting or overwhelming for some, where others might find it exciting! Regardless, a mentor is a useful (and often essential) way to help you shape and refine your thoughts and ideas about your future.
A mentor is a person who shares information about his or her own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling. A mentor may help with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts, and identifying resources.
Examples of possible mentors:
a family member (parent, aunt/uncle, older sibling)
a teacher
a coach
a work supervisor
What do I need to do now?
Keep a "journal", on your mentorship tab, of your interactions with both your capstone teachers (Robb/Skogs) as well as you chosen mentor.
How does this relate to my Capstone Presentation?
Your panel members will expect you to comment on how you navigated your project and who exactly you turned to for help, guidance, and advice.
