Complete the Fitness Make-Up for any day missed due to an absence or parent/doctor note.
Directions:
Choose a fitness activity that you can do at home that will get your heart rate up and get you exercising. The exercise must be done for at least 30 minutes and must be signed off by a witness (parent/guardian). You must fill out the paperwork provided and staple it to your FIT Log before turning it in at the end of the month.
Class Fitness Make Up
In order to receive credit for the fitness and classwork missed during class you can complete a 3-4 paragraph paper (in essay form) on any of the topics below. You will need to complete a different topic for each day missed.

*You will not receive credit for a paper that is copied from any source (ie. internet, magazine, etc.)
Topics:
1. Explain the history of the Olympics.
2. Do you consider yourself physically fit? Justify your answer including what kinds of exercise you do and how often you do them. If you don't consider yourself physically fit, explain how you can change that.
3. Describe your favorite sport or physical activity. Include why you like it and the health benefits it provides.
4. Describe your personal sports hero (professional or amateur). Explain why that person is special to you. If you don't have a sports hero, make up one and explain what characteristics you would admire.
5. Select one individual sport and explain its fitness and/or health benefits.
6. Explain the history of a sport that originated in the United States.
7. Explain the history of a sport that is currently played in the United States but originated in another country.
8. Explain the basic food groups.
9. What would you do if you were able to communicate to animals?
10. What would the world look like if there were no sports?
11. In 10 years I will be…
12. Invent and describe a new food.
13. Which character from a book would you most like to meet? Why?
