This course aims to build upon and apply the concepts learned in the Foundations of Education course. Students learned the basics of standard-based education, lesson planning, classroom management, and the expectations of each grade level, preschool-12th grades.

In this course, students will continue these practices but expand into more complex instructional methods and diverse classroom needs. Students will understand reading instruction, the role, and integration of special education into the inclusive classroom, examine research-based strategies for supporting English Language Learners, practice the art of differentiation, and design their own inclusive unit plans implementing these instructional considerations. Students will apply the theories and strategies learned in class to their practical classroom experiences alongside credentialed K-12 educators.
