The Mastery Program was built with talented children in mind. Whether its students with a specific skill set, or students with a determination to master a skill, the Mastery Program provides opportunities for these students to do a deep dive and immerse themselves in the material.
LEAP@MS51 now provides a schedule with activities that runs 3 hours a day for 2 days a week, offering a whopping 6 hours for students to deep dive into the content and build skills.
Hosted by Mr. Yaw

Students who are interested in the Mastery Program must complete a LEAP Application - accessible here - and either email it to ms51k@leapnyc.org or leave the paper application in the LEAP mailbox in the MS51 Main Office.
Families will receive an email indicating the child's acceptance into the program.
Once the email is received, students must visit the LEAP Office, B21 to inform LEAP staff of their interest in the class.
Every class will have their own seat limitations. Please check with our teaching staff to get the most accurate information.
Mastery Courses are renewed every cycle - introducing either new Mastery Program Offerings or renewing rosters for new students to register.
Students may still enroll into the After School Program and enjoy all that LEAP has to offer through the week. Students who are attending the program regularly will have the most updated information on the Mastery Program as soon as the information is released.
