The STAMP program started the process of being founded in late 2022. STAMP began at the beginning of 2023 at Leander High School, as an Eagle Project started and led by Christian Swint, a member of Troop 258 in Leander, Texas. Christian wanted to make an Eagle Project that would have a large impact on the lives of others and benefit the community in any way possible. He came up with the idea of creating a program at his high school to raise awareness for teen mental health. He chose this topic because he knew about the rise in teenage mental health issues, especially after Covid hit in 2020. After completing research projects on the topic of teen mental health, he realized and knew that it was only right to begin a program that focuses on teen mental health. After many ideas were discussed, he decided on four separate parts of the program, creating a website, making flyers, and the different social media accounts. The idea was brought up in June of 2022 and began making progress by November. In December of 2022, he had his first workday where friends and scouts came to help create the program and its separate parts. After countless days and hours of work, the program was slowly coming together. Finally, in early March of 2023, STAMP was in motion.
