About Me
I am excited to be serving Rouse students as their College Coach for the 11th year! I work closely with the counseling office to further enhance Rouse High School’s college-going culture by mentoring a group of students starting in the spring of their junior year to guide them through the entire college enrollment process.
I’m a former high school English teacher and counselor. I came to Leander ISD in 1983, and though I retired from full-time education in 2013, I couldn’t leave LISD and Rouse High School behind; so I’ve continued to work for the district in a part-time capacity. College counseling has been my passion since I taught a college prep class at Leander High School in the 1990s and is what led me to pursue my masters in guidance and counseling. In addition to this passion, I bring 20 years of experience in college counseling to the College Coaching program.
My husband and I have two grown sons and one granddaughter. Our older son graduated from Tarleton and the younger one from Texas A&M University. I am an avid reader, enjoy traveling, photography, genealogy and crochet.
