Summer School 2022
Grade level counselors registered students to summer school who were eligible based on LISD School Board Policy.
LISD School Board Policy states: In grades 6–8, promotion to the next grade level shall be based on an overall average of 70 on a scale of 100 based on course-level, grade-level standards (essential knowledge and skills) for all subject areas and a grade of 70 or above in three of the following areas: language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Middle School Summer School, known as Middle School Ignite, will have an equal focus on academics and social skills. Students will receive instruction and participate in academic activities to strengthen skills in the two academic courses for which they are enrolled. Teachers will also be facilitating activities to help students set and achieve goals; establish and maintain positive relationships; and make responsible decisions for future success.

Monday, June 6th – Friday, June 17th from 8:30am - 11:30am at Henry Middle School
Tuition is Free = No cost
Transportation provided if students already ride the bus.
Students will only re-take 2 core courses in which they were not successful in meeting minimum passing requirements during their current grade school year.
