8th to 9th Grade Transition

Planning for the Class of 2030 begins early! 

Students begin with a High School 101 lesson, presented by Vista Ridge Counselors, in mid-October. During November and December, students will work with their 8th grade counselor to draft a 4-year academic plan. In January, all 8th graders will visit the Vista Ridge campus for a tour along with several presentations by various VRHS programs. Also in January, Vista Ridge will host a Middle School Parent, at the VRHS campus. In February, Vista Ridge Counselors return to Henry to visit with each 8th grade student in one-on-one sessions to review their 4-Year Academic Plans and answer any questions.
