6th Grade Puberty Presentation
LISD Puberty Curriculum from Choosing the BEST WAY
Leander ISD 6th grade students will study important lessons on the early stages of puberty, including reproductive and sexual health, in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education. Students will have an opportunity to learn the following lessons from Choosing the BEST WAY:
Deciding on Your Future
Figuring Out Friendships and Relationships
Avoiding Unhealthy Relationships
Identifying the Risks
Learning How to Say “No”
Texas House Bill 1525 requires that students must opt-in to participate in the Puberty presentations. The Opt-In form was sent to you by your student's PE Coach. You can also access the Opt-In form HERE.
