5th - 6th Grade Transition Activities

HMS holds the following activities to facilitate a smooth transition from 5th to 6th Grade for students and parents:

1. Band & Choir Informational Parent Meeting (Wednesday, February 19th from 6:30-7:30 PM in the HMS Cafeteria (located at the back of the school).

2. 5th Grade student visits to Henry Middle School:

   1. • Cox & Reagan Elementary on Thursday, February 20th.

      • Faubion, Reed, & Rutledge Elementary on Friday, February 21st.

3. HMS Counselor visits to 5th grade classes of our feeder elementary schools (2/24-2/28).

4. Summer "Hawk Camp" for incoming 6th grade students where they receive their schedules, tour the building, and meet new friends.

   1. • Wednesday, July 30th (9:30 AM - Noon): Last names beginning A-L

      • Thursday, July 31st (9:30 AM - Noon):  Last names beginning M-Z
