November 14th

IB Informational Meeting

Students are encouraged to come learn more about the International Baccalureate Program offered at Leander High School. The meeting will occur in the library during advisory. Students that sign up through the google form will be sent a pass to attend the meetin.

Early College High School Infromational Session

Students are encouraged to attend this informational session to learn more about Early College High School. Application is open now! The application for admissions deadline is Sunday, February 1st, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Students who sign up through this google form will be sent a pass to attend the meeting at the library during advisory.

Air Force JROTC Informational Session

Students are encouraged to attend this informational session to learn what the airforce JROTC at Leander High School is all about. Students who sign up through this google form will be sent a pass to attend the meeting in the union during advisory.

9th Grade 4 Year Planning Timeline

November 17th-19th

4-Year Planning Begins

Students will begin working on their 4-year high school plans with their 8th grade counselor during their English class. These plans are flexible and will be updated annually through Naviance. Parents will be able to view and approve plans via their Naviance Parent Account.

9th Grade GHS Choicesheet

Dec. 3rd-Jan. 9th

4 Year Plan Parent Approval thru Naviance

Parents will be asked to go into Naviance and approve their student's 4 year plan. Plans must be approved before the Glenn High School Counselors come to visit. *Please note that students will be allowed to make changes after the Jan. 9th deadline. Please see below for the Final Changes Deadline. You and your student will continue to update this plan with your student's high school counselor every year.

January 15th

GHS 8th Grade Visit

All 8th grade students will visit Glenn to tour the school and learn more about the programs and organizations offered at GHS.

January 28th-30th

GHS Choice Sheet Visit

GHS Counselors will meet with students to talk about classes for 9th grade. They will review their 4 year plans but mainly focus on 9th grade choice selections.

February 13th

Requests viewable on HAC

Students request for next school year will be loaded by the GHS counselors to the HAC.

February 27th

Correspondence, Distance, and Virtual Coursework Approval Form Due

There is a new process for approval of courses done through UT High School Distance, Texas Tech Distance Learning, and TxVSN. Any student interested in doing a class in the summer through these programs but complete the form (Link Below). This form must be completed and approved prior to enrollment in a correspondence, distance or virtual course. All requests must be submitted by the last Friday in February. Once approved, all coursework must be completed by July 25 prior to the upcoming school year. Student's must have Counselor verification and Principal Approval before enrolling in the course.
