Students visit the CRMS Library with their ELA class every month, and with other classes for various units of study and special events. Students can browse for books before and after school every day.
Students are allowed to check out five items at a time. Most items are due back after one or two weeks, depending on demand. Graphic novels are due back within two days.
Students may check out three digital items (e-books and audiobooks) at a time from Sora, our district's online library, for two weeks. Sora is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, so you can read online anytime!
Students who have outstanding library fines may have limited checkout access until the fine is cleared. Patrons who lose library materials shall be charged the replacement cost and can find the cost in their library account in the Destiny catalog. Damaged library material charges are the same as the replacement cost.
Do a very thorough search for books before paying for the book. Refunds can only be issued through May 1 of the school year.
Please find the book replacement cost on your student account in the Destiny library catalog and pay in the webstore or by check or exact cash amount. We cannot accept replacement books as we order shelf-ready, library-quality books from the publishing distributor.
You can check your own library account as often as you like from any internet device.

Promotes creative thinking, problem solving and exploration
Provides a welcoming space which encourages collaboration and productivity
Provides equitable access to materials: digital resources, collaborative opportunities in the world at large, technology
Provides curriculum and collaborative support for all stakeholders: students, teachers, administrators, community, etc.
Per 22/23 Student Handbook Updates, the following change was made regarding inter-library loan requests (ILLs)
Students may request to borrow materials from any library in Leander ISD so long as the library matches the same grade level or lower. (Ex: elementary student borrowing from another elementary library or middle school student borrowing from another middle school library or an elementary school library) Should a student want to borrow from a grade level span higher than the current grade span assigned, parent permission would be required via a digitally signed form.
All ILL requests are made through the student’s home campus librarian, and all items will be checked out and returned through the student’s home campus library. ILL items may only be renewed once and lending libraries may deny renewals for high demand items. Students who fail to return interlibrary loan items on time may have ILL privileges restricted or denied.
