Clubs

Library Club
This club is designed to promote community and a love of reading. Give feedback about events like Read-A-Thon and Trivia Night, offer ideas for book commercials, displays, and maker stations, participate in book clubs, crafts, and team-building activities, and more. Share your love of books, find out about library programs first, and make new friends. There's a place for you in the library!

Meetings take place in the library, about once a month, from 8:20 - 8:53 - on Fridays. Be at the front entrance to be let in to the building by 8:19 a.m. - if you are late, you can join at 8:35 when the doors open for everyone.

Craft Club

This club will meet two Mondays a month before school from 8:53 - 9:00. We will do loom knitting, 3D model building, puzzles, and seasonal crafts.

October 5th - Loom Knitting with model building

October 19th - Loom Knitting or crochet with model building

No meeting Oct. 26 due to book fair

Nov. 9th - Craft TBD - maybe puzzle contests? student input will guide us

Reading Rumble

Reading Rumble is a book trivia battle against middle school teams from across LISD. Questions are drawn from 10 select books from the Lone Star Reading List. Students can form small teams, read the books, and prepare for the trivia battle by creating custom questions and quizzing each other.

CRMS has a proud tradition of 1st place and Top Three finishes in Reading Rumble for the last three years, and we always hope to add new teams to the mix!

Reading Rumble is held in the spring semester - date TBD.
