Immunization Requirements for the School Year
All immunizations must be current by the 1st day of school. Deadlines throughout the year are to be determined over the summer.
Per Texas Administrative Code, all incoming 7th grade students must provide documentation that they have received the Tdap and Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccines which are typically administered at age 11 or 12.
Please be sure that you or your healthcare provider have submitted this documentation before your student begins 7th Grade. Students who have not met this requirement are subject to Exclusion from school. Because we must adhere to Texas Law, no exceptions are made.
Additionally, if your student is on an Immunization Catch-Up Schedule, please submit documentation to avoid Exclusion during the year. If your student is excluded, these days are unexcused.
Lastly, if your student has an Immunization Exemption on file, please submit the new Exemption when appropriate. Medical Exemptions are yearly, and Exemption for Reasons of Conscience must be re-submitted every 2 years.
