Scholarships & Financial Aid

FAFSA - Opens DECEMBER 2023  (Texas priority Deadline TBD)

Financial Aid and filling out the FAFSA: students and parents can start filling out the FAFSA with prior year tax information beginning in December. (FAFSA gives students access to grants, loans, work-study and some scholarships.) We encourage ALL seniors and their parents to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Students applying for the 2024-25 school year can begin filling out this application annually on TBD to determine financial aid eligibility and often as a requirement for institutional merit-based scholarships.  Each school will have their own priority deadline; however, financial aid is first-come, first-served.  Filing the FAFSA is easier than ever since it will be relying on 2022 income and tax information, allowing access to the IRS Data Retrieval that should automatically import your tax information.

Students and Parents may also reach out to the Texas Financial Aid Information Center for help with filling out the form at home by calling 1-888-311-8881.

Financial Aid & Scholarship Opportunities

FIRST, check the institutions to which you are applying for admission.  Each College and University does their financial aid and scholarship applications and offers differently, so it is always best to ask questions of the Financial Aid Offices at the prospective schools.
