ACC DUAL CREDIT ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST
Follow these steps to enroll in ACC courses as a dual credit student. Be sure to verify important ACC dates & deadlines.
The ACC ENROLLMENT process can take up to a week to complete. Start early & follow these step-by-step instructions in order.
NOTE: All underlined portions are links. Pay close attention to those.
NEW STUDENTS
Complete steps 1-4 one time only. Scroll down to Step 5 after completing steps 1-4.
Mrs. Hexter does not have access to ACC's technology. Any tech questions should be directed to ACC.
Create an application account. (Do not use our LISD email account.)
Check your email for username (from ACC Admissions) and follow link to create password.
Under "Dual Credit" choose "Apply Now."

Notes:
You'll need a parent email. Please tell them to watch for an email from ACC (likely CollegeNow@austincc.edu).
You and your parent may also need to check your respective spam folders.
If no SSN, complete this form for an alternate ID.
Be sure to always indicate Dual Credit.

Your application is complete when you Review & Confirm.
Activate your assigned ACCeID (via email, 24hrs after submitting the application)
Applications are not processed on weekends/holidays
You will use your ACCeID regularly. Memorize / keep your number handy for regular use.
Once ACCeID is established, use this link to activate your ACC e-mail.
You must send Ms. Hexter an email from your ACC Gmail to prove that it has been set up. If you do NOT get a response from Ms. Hexter, please follow up; LISD often sends these communications to Spam.
Notes:
If you get an error, call the ACC Help Desk at 512-223-7066 (for Dual Credit students).
If your school device says, "This account is not allowed to sign in within this network." - add a separate Chrome profile using your ACC Gmail login or use another browswer like Edge. Most students add their ACC email to their phones.
STEP 3: ACC ORIENTATION & CONTRACTS
1. ACC/CPHS Orientation: Watch the ACC/CPHS Orientation video (43 minutes). It is STRONGLY recommended students & parents watch this together for full understanding. Then, LOG IN HERE and take the ACC Orientation quiz. Must be logged into ACC email for the quiz. Failure to take and pass the ACC Orientation quiz will result in a hold on your account, preventing registration.
2. Take a tight (or cropped) screen shot of your completed orientation. You will need it for step #5.
3. CPHS Dual Credit Contract (print & have parent sign). You do not need Ms. Hexter's signature for either contract. Take a tight pic of contract for uploading.
4. Complete this short required ACC survey Your ACC account will have a hold if you do not complete.
5. Complete this required fillable Withdraw / Failure Acknowledgement
6. Upload completed contracts, acknowledgment, & proof of orientation to the Enrollment/Tuition Waiver Google Form here. You'll need to include your ACCeID, ACCemail address. You do NOT need to provide hard copies to Ms. Hexter.
After you've submitted your Enrollment/ Tuition Waiver Google Form, you'll receive an emailed link to book a one-on-one with Ms. Hexter.
STEP 4: PROVE COLLEGE READINESS
Determine if you need to take the TSI Assessment (see qualifying exemption scores). If exempt from testing, you may skip to Step 5.
You can find your scores in one or more of the following:
SAT (Naviance or College Board)
ACT (Naviance or ACT.org)
TSIA (Accuplacer.org)
Naviance > About Me > My Stuff > Test Scores.
(You MUST go through Leander Launchpad to access Naviance.)
Register to take the TSI Assessment at CPHS
Prior to registering, you MUST sign up/create an Accuplacer account and complete the Pre Assessment Activity.
If you cannot take the TSIA at one of the opportunities at CPHS, please plan on taking the TSIA at ACC. (See "How Do I Test at ACC?.")
If you have looked up your test scores and believe you are TSI complete (and CPHS has the appropriate test results), you're good to go. Ms. Hexter will provide your scores to ACC.
STEP 4: PROVE COLLEGE READINESS

Required ACC classroom and Reminds
All ACC Dual Credit students MUST be in the appropriate grad year ACC Remind and Classroom.

NEW & RETURNING STUDENTS
Complete steps 5-7 each semester to be eligible for registration. New students must have fully completed steps 1-4 first.
STEP 5: cONFIRM cOURSES

Returning students
must complete the Enrollment/Tuition Waiver Google Form here every semester/session. Returners are not required to meet.
New students (only) must schedule a Dual Credit Student Meeting (10 min) AFTER you've completed steps 1-4. Together, we will review your documents, outline course plans, and discuss the next steps!
At the meeting, we will:
Review your submitted enrollment/tuition waiver submision including:
ACCeID
ACC email
Submitted contracts
Proof or orientation
Answer any questions in preparation for registration
NOTES:
No paper passes will be sent for meetings scheduled by students. The confirmation email will be the student pass out of class.
Meetings typically last about 10 minutes.
At this meeting, ACC enrollment is finalized. However, registration for classes is the student next step. LISD staff cannot register a student for ACC courses.
STEP 6: PLAN COURSES*
*NOTE: You cannot move on to this step prior to the processing of your paper work by Ms. Hexter and lifting of "hold" by ACC. (This process can take up to a month.)
With your 4-year plan (and course selections for next school year) in mind, plan the specific courses you wish to register for using ACC's online Self-Service website. (See the Registration Steps.)

Student "Planning and Registration Workshops" will be held for in-person assistance during the CPHS school day.

-LEC - Lecture In-person
-DLS - Synchronous (Required Zoom meetings)
-DIL - Asynchronous (self-paced)
