Ms. Turchick

This is my fifth year at Akin and teaching 2nd Grade!

I grew up in Connecticut, studied early childhood education at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, and moved to Austin in 2015 to experience new adventures.  All of my family is back east, but I go to visit as much as possible.

When I'm not teaching I love to read, swim, crochet, listen to Taylor Swift, and play with my cavapoo, Jace.  He's named after a character from one of my favorite book series.  I am also a huge Disney fan and visit Disney World as often as I can.  My favorite trip was when my family went for 4th of July one year.  Even though it was really hot, no fireworks show has ever compared!
