I am so excited for this year as we embark on a journey to continue to grow as leaders and become life long learners!

To tell you a little bit about myself, I grew up in the Leander area but have also have lived in San Antonio, TX as well as Spring Lake, MI. My husband, Dustin and I have been married five years. We have an energetic two year old named Orion. We also have two Labradoodles named Oakley and Arlo and a new cat named Sunday. They enjoy tagging along with us on any of our outdoor adventures.

This will be my tenth year teaching in Leander ISD. I found my passion working with children through years of teaching Sunday School, coaching swim, and volunteering in the classroom. After graduating from Concordia University, I was blessed to teach some amazing First and Second Graders at Whitestone Elementary. I am so excited to be starting my seventh year on the Kindergarten team here at Akin Elementary! It is my mission to strive to challenge, motivate, encourage, support, and love our newest learners!
