Welcome to Kindergarten! 

Hi there! My name is Jessica Don Juan and I am delighted to be your child's kindergarten teacher this year! We are going to have a year of fun filled learning! This is my 3rd year teaching and I couldn't be more excited! I love teaching here at Akin Elementary! Go Aviators! 

I went to Leander High School where I took "Ready Set Teach" for 2 years and graduated in 2011. After high school, I attended community college and then transferred to Texas State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas State in May of 2021 with my Bachelor's in Education. Go Bobcats! 

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Gabriel. Together we have 2 beautiful daughters, Lenna and Ava. Lenna is 11 years old and going to 6th grade. Ava will be 1 in October and she loves her big sister! We have one spoiled dog, Dixie. We love taking Dixie on walks, skates, and trips to the park and beach. We visit Corpus Christi often and enjoy our toes in the sand.
