Defy

Defy

A rumble escaped from the sky,

I stood outside as the clouds grew dim

The world around seemed so grim.

A silent drop passes by

The wind lets out a sigh

It begins to whistle it's familiar hymn

The horizon of blue became so slim

The thunder emerged letting out a battle cry

The lightning struck back in reply

The anger of the once tranquil breeze ripping through,

Why must nature defy,

The Earth that gives us supply?

Then as the wind was no more and the rain withdrew,

A single white carnation grew.
