Bittersweet
One moment they're there, the next they're gone.
With or without you, everyone moves on,
The reason sometimes unknown
And suddenly you’re alone,
You must silently observe,
The meaningful memories you must preserve.
Their triumphs and faults no longer yours to share,
For it is no longer your place to care
An experience that you can gain,
In the end not every person will remain.
People come and go,
Always leaving you an opportunity to grow.
A bittersweet lesson given to you,
Everyone simply passes through,
In a life so short,
Find those who will give you support.
